Good news for anyone enthralled by the last four series of BBC One drama Line of Duty – the show is back for its fifth run this weekend (March 31st), so make sure you put a date in your diary or you could miss it!
According to the BBC, the series finale of the hit show was watched by 7.4 million people back in 2017 and series five could prove to be even more popular, with Martin Compston – who plays DI Steve Arnott – saying that it’s the scariest season to come yet.
The trailer for the first episode of season five reveals that three police officers have been killed in a hijack by three balaclava-wearing armed men, with DI Kate Fleming – played by Vicky McClure – putting it down to a police insider.
Line of Duty has been so successful here in the UK that there’s a bit of chatter going on at the moment that it could be making the move across the pond to the US… which should be interesting. And another series has been commissioned for UK viewers as well, so there’s an awful lot to look forward to!
